Welcome to the WATER EXEMPTION NEW LAWN NON-RESIDENTIAL application process.
The Township of Langley Drinking Water Conservation Bylaw and MetroVancouver water restrictions DO NOT apply to properties that receive water from a well only. If you are not connected to the municipal water supply you do not need a Water Exemption Permit.
Please only apply for this water exemption permit for newly seeded lawns or turf installation for non-residential property.
If you are applying for a water exemption permit for nematode application, or for residential property, please go back and choose the appropriate Water Exemption permit type.
Once the application is complete, acknowledgement of permit issuance will be emailed to the applicant's email address, provided during the application process. The permit will also be available to view with all folders held by the account holder in their MyTownship profile.
Please note the following application conditions:
- This Application is only for new lawns (seed or turf) for non-residential properties.
- The non-refundable water exemption permit fee is $200 and is payable at time of application.
- Issued permits will only be valid for 21 days. If you require a water exemption permit for a specific date period please apply on the first date the exemption is required.
- Once issued, the permit will allow watering outside of restricted days between the hours of 4:00am and 9:00am for 21 days. Extensions are only available for one additional period as long as Stage 1 water restrictions are in place. Extensions are not permitted in Stage 2, Stage 3, or Stage 4.
- All permits are null and void if Stage 3 restrictions are declared.
- Users can apply using a MyTownship profile.
- All *mandatory fields must be completed.
